Smartmunkee is an electronic musician, composer & music producer based in beautiful Cornwall, England.

Smartmunkee's passion lies in cinematic themes, breakbeats, chill, and a little lofi.

 

His music has a unique sound, often spanning multiple genres, always aspiring to be just a little different.

'Mixing chilled sounds and catchy riffs with driving beats is my specialty. I'm a huge fan of movies and my music often tends to have a cinematic feel'.

His tracks have been featured on Dandelion Radio and Thomas Imposter Records Compilation Album M1 X3.

 

Smartmunkee also co-presents The Underground Sound show alongside the show's founders DJ X Tech & Carlos Fandango reviewing music from independent artists. "The music industry is tough and it's hard to get heard without throwing big bucks at it so we are here to just add that little help and inspiration for artists trying to get noticed."

He lists a wide range of influences; Moby, Prodigy, M83, Art of Noise, Fatboy Slim, Chemical Brothers, Linkin Park, Vangelis, Hans Zimmer, Jean-Michel Jarre to name but a few.
